The volcanic area in Hawaii, primarily located within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island, features two active volcanoes: Kilauea and Mauna Loa, situated roughly 25 miles apart; this park encompasses diverse environments ranging from sea level to the summit of Mauna Loa, the world's largest active volcano, and includes active eruptive sites like the Kilauea caldera and the vent at Puʻu ʻŌʻō. 

 

Key points about the volcanic area in Hawaii:

  • Volcanoes:

    Kilauea and Mauna Loa are the main active volcanoes within the park. 

  • Caldera:

    Kilauea's summit caldera contains the active Halemaʻumaʻu crater, known for its lava lake activity. 

  • Park features:

    The park includes diverse landscapes like lava tubes, cinder cones, and rainforests, with access via the Chain of Craters Road. 

  • Geological formation:

    The Hawaiian islands were formed by a hotspot in the Earth's mantle, creating a chain of volcanoes as the Pacific plate moves over it. 

Things to know about our tours

  • Maximum 5 people per tour

  • 4 Hour tours are $200 per person (Volcano, Waterfalls and Kalapana tours)

  • All private tours will be managed on our Chrysler Pacifica

  • Tours are customizable, Contact us what you would like to do and we'll make it happen

  • 4 Hour tours will be 8:30am - 12:30pm

Time Frame

This tour is 4 hours. You may personally decide where you want to spend your time in desired areas, However you will have shorter times in other locations. You will have a 4 Hour duration time with your tour guide.

What You'll Do On Your Tour

On each area visited you will have time to stop and explore the sceneries visited. We will make it known for every stop made if food and bathrooms are available.

Pick Up/Drop Offs

When submitting booking forms you will have the option to add your pick-up and drop-off locations.
